Goblin Slayer began last week, and my initial thoughts on the anime have changed. When I got into the anime, I didn’t know it would be dark fantasy. Getting into it now, I think the series is not for the weak of heart. If you don’t like the anime, drop it.






But I’ve seen enough Berserk to be okay with Goblin Slayer and that why I’ll be discussing the events of Goblin Slayer episode 2 with you guys. Last week, we saw the first appearance of Priestess, the female lead of the anime, and she was offered a chance to hunt Goblins. She was a skeptic, and her fears were proven right when half of the team was butchered by Goblins. She would’ve died as well, if not for Goblin Slayer. She was saved, and he killed the Goblins in their nest, saving another party member in the process.

In the next episode, we’ll see them continue their adventure. We’ll be introduced to more members of the Goblin Slayer’s team. We also find out about the past of Goblin Slayer, and the reason why he actually hates Goblins so much. When he was a kid, the Goblins ran amock in his village, and they performed all sorts of brutal acts to his sister while he hid away. He later learned to pick up a sword and turned the fuel into the fire and has been killing Goblins ever since. We see him taking missions to eliminate Goblins for free.
