Tokyo Ghoul Season 4 Episode 2: Kaneki Ken vs Arima Kishou

Tokyo Ghoul Season 4 aired its first episode this week, and it was the most ‘Tokyo Ghoul’ episode ever. By that, I mean that it was full of confusion and half of it just didn’t make any sense. The studio has done a decent job with Tokyo Ghoul re Season 1 previously.

Tokyo Ghoul Season 4 Episode Schedule

I don’t think that it was terrible in any way. Yes, the first few episodes were a bit rushed, but it got better as we went ahead in the story, and I started to enjoy it a lot. It’s nothing like that when it comes to Tokyo Ghoul re Season 2

Yes, we’re just one episode in, and I may be making a snap judgment, but the show’s first episode made literally no sense, and if you’re an anime-only, you’re probably either going with the flow or confused about what’s happening. Either way, I recommend that you pick up Ishida Sui’s manga and read it.

Tokyo Ghoul Season 4 Episode 2 Spoilers
I hope Tokyo Ghoul Season 4 Episode 2 isn’t as horrendous as the first one. In the upcoming episode, we’re going to see the Third Cochlea Raid finally begin. I don’t think we even saw the first Cochlea Raid in the anime, but going in accordance to the manga, this is the Third Cochlea Raid. Kaneki is there, and he uses this moment to free Hinami and save her.

Meanwhile, Touka, Ayato, and Yomo get stopped by the White Reaper, Arima Kishou. Just as Yomo is about to die, Kaneki steps in and takes on Arima by himself. Arima realizes what needs to be done, and Hinami is entrusted to Touka. This is where things start getting good because we saw yet another all-out fight between Kaneki and Arima. I hope against hope that they don’t mess this up because it is arguably the most essential thing in the entire series.

Tokyo Ghoul Season 4 Episode 2 is going to be aired on October 16, 2018. You can watch it online on Crunchyroll, or Funimation.
